Mother's Day Tea with Helena

Every year at Aggieland Country School, the moms are invited to school to have tea with their children. It is one of the high points of the year for all of the mothers, if my experience can be generalized!
When I arrived, I was greeted with a homemade vase full of beautiful flowers:

Helena helped me choose a table, and then ran back and forth, ferrying all of the items necessary to set the table, from the tablecloth to the teapot and dainties!

Cups. . .

Plates. . .

Doily. . .

Spoons. . .

The teapot was too hot for her, so here it is brought out by Mrs. Mamora, whom we know well from Phelan's days at the school!

The teapot shaped cookies were Helena's favorite thing. . .

Next to the milk, sugar, and tea! Helena loved pouring the tea and adding the sugar and milk. There was no caffeine, of course. They use a Celestial Seasonings blend.

It was a very special day!

And here is a special day from five years ago!
